What we collect, what we don't.

The honest list

What we collect

  • Affiliate clicks. Every time you click an "Amazon" link, we log the click (product, source, referrer, device, country) so we can see which guides are useful. No personal identifiers.
  • Email, if you sign up. Your email address and the page you signed up on. Stored in Supabase (US), sent through Resend.
  • Standard server logs. Vercel logs every request (IP, user agent, path) for security + diagnostics, retained ~30 days.
  • Retargeting pixels. If we've enabled Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel for ad attribution, those scripts set first-party cookies that beacon back to those platforms with the page URL + referrer. They allow us to show ads to people who've visited us. You can opt out via your browser's tracking-prevention settings or in Meta/TikTok's respective ad-preferences pages.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your email address to anyone, ever.
  • We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We don't join your email to your IP or click history.
  • We don't use third-party analytics that track you across sites (no Google Analytics).
  • We don't profile you for political or health-related targeting.

Email

What we send you

If you signed up, you'll get a Friday morning email with that week's pick plus a short list of guides worth a click. Every email has a working one-click unsubscribe link in the footer; clicking it removes you immediately, no "are you sure?" intercept.

If you ever want us to delete your subscriber record entirely (not just unsubscribe), reply to any of our emails with "delete me" in the subject and we'll wipe the row within 7 days.

Affiliate disclosure

We're an Amazon Associates affiliate site. When you click through to Amazon and buy something within 24 hours, we earn a small commission. This applies to our primary picks AND to every alternative we list — we earn whichever you choose. For the full version, see our disclosure page.
